"Never in my 14 years as an educator have I seen such vicious, reckless and violent behavior. And from young ladies! I got parents calling me on the phone asking, 'Did someone get shot?' I ought to cancel your Spring Fling!! But I can tell from the looks on your faces, you'd be very upset. Well, I'm not gonna do that because we've already paid the DJ. So you can all relax. But don't think for one second that I am not taking this Burn Book seriously! Coach Carr has fled school property, and is nowhere to be seen or found. Ms. Norbury's been accused of selling drugs, and could be sentenced to life in prison. Now what these young ladies in this grade need is an attitude makeover. And you're gonna get it. Right now. I don't care how long it takes; I will keep you here all night, if I have to!"

Ronald "Ron" Duvall (born December 26, 1970) is the principal at North Shore High School in Evanston, IL. He is portrayed by Tim Meadows. Mr. Duvall is the only character in Mean Girls, Mean Girls 2 and the musical film version of Mean Girls.

He is a graduate of DePaul University, though surprisingly he hangs a Northwestern University pennant in his office as well. He has carpal tunnel syndrome. By the time of the second film, there are TV screens installed throughout the school, which play Mr. Duvall's announcements. He finds the book that Regina and Cady wrote in and called Cady and the other plastics (not including Regina) into the office, An enraged Regina causes chaos in the school forcing Ron to drench all the students and severely punish them in the gym for being victimized and for other bullying things they have done by threatening them to cancel the prom if they do not behave themselves. In the prom, he is the announcer for the prom's king and queen, and becomes surprised by Cady's speech and actions.

Personal Life[]

At the end of the first film, he dances with Ms. Sharon Norbury at the Spring Fling. It seems like the two are pairing up romantically. Ms. Norbury doesn't appear in the sequel, but as he had a wedding ring it’s possible they married.

"As many of you know, we had a robbery last night. Now the evidence strongly suggests that the thief was a student because of his or her wanton disregard for school property. This student or students, clearly degenerates, stole the money that was intended for helpless animals. Now, unless the money is returned, I have no choice... but to cancel the Homecoming Dance! This is your principal, signing off for today, reminding you to stay left or right, not center."
―Ron Duvall[src]
"I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding, Jo. Consider yourself officially un-expelled. And I'll make some calls and sort things out college-wise."
